RE: The Coalition for Adolescent Girls

There are many girls around the world that don't have the opportunity to gain the same education as some of the other girls in different countries, for example like girls in the United States do or how boys have. They are often discriminated due to gender. They are seen as house women, and they have to work around the house like their mother's do. Also, they are expected to marry at a very young age, most girls marry at the age of 14, and they often marry middle aged men even elderly men. Because of this, most girls don't get the opportunity to gain and education and receive a better future. The Coalition for Adolescent Girls is a committed organization to create change for communities that are barely developing in the world, to help the adolescent girls become more educated. Adolescent girls will be the future of the community; they will play an important role and end poverty by becoming more healthy and financially literate.

The goal that this organization has is to unleash the potential of 600 million adolescent girls. The things they are focused on is to show how great of a change and potential it would be if girls in their communities work on their education, Finding actions that will make a change to the community, and to form a community with the same purpose in mind as the organization. The organization is focused on adolescent girls from the age of 10 to 18. They help girls stay in school for a longer period of time, by doing this they help them by keeping them healthy, to gain skill, they will marry at an older age, have less pregnancies, and be able to gain income for their family. They also help the adolescent girls by helping them not get any fatal diseases or sexually transmitted diseases, like HIV/AIDS. By marrying at such a young age and getting pregnant does not show such a bright future for them. Since they are really young they won’t be able to carry the weight and the child's weight and this might even cause their death. That is why this organization is trying to help adolescent girls stay longer in school and gain more education. So, they can have a brighter future and even help their communities by gaining an income and helping them with the poverty they have in their community.

Some of the discourse practices The Coalition for Adolescent girls do is talk to the different communities about what a great thing it would be to give a better education for girls. And by how it can help their communities by helping their economic and poverty rate. Also, they do research and show for great of an impact it would be to give a better education to the adolescent girls. They show all of this research in their website, where they encourage everybody to get involved and talk about this organization to their friends, family members, and acquaintances. By just spreading the word to your friends and family members you can make the world a better place and make a difference.
