Op-Ed

As we heard last night May 1, 2011, Osama Bin Laden was captured and he is now dead. Many people are affected by this, a lot of people were extremely happy that they had finally captured him. As seen in the news, people went to the White House to “celebrate”. But, many other people were thinking that this could have been a lie and that the United States government may be lying. Some of people are also thinking that this can only bring more problems to the United States. Because people that followed Bin Laden are now going to be mad.
There are many contributing factors that affect the people from gaining and receiving peace. Some of the factors that make it impossible for there to be peace everywhere are: racism, bullying, arguments against each other, and “I am better than you”. But the main reason we don’t have peace is because of all the wars happening at this moment. We have people fighting wars in Iraq, Afghanistan, Egypt, Libya, and many more places. This affects every single one of us, either mentally, emotionally, and physically. You may think that the people that are more affected by this are soldiers, and or people that have actually been affected by the wars. But that is not true; everyone is affected by this even though they have not experienced it.
